As a Burman alumnus, I’m excited about the possibility of bringing my experience in Moodle 5.1.3 and trauma-informed design to the Andrews community. This video shares why I believe our missions align so closely.

Code Hack 2025
A Weekend of Purpose and Possibility

Kristy and I were thrilled to volunteer at Island Health’s 2025 Code Hack, a healthcare-focused hackathon at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria. Kristy participated as an Ally while I contributed as a Designer, leveraging my skills in learning design and team facilitation.

Our team tackled the challenge of reducing senior isolation near the end of life by proposing an affordable multigenerational housing model to help elders stay connected and age with dignity. I had the privilege of opening our presentation, using my experience in narrative crafting. The weekend was vibrant and inspiring, filled with passionate individuals, including a joyful physician from Nepal who showcased the power of kindness and optimism.

AV Team Camera Guy
Rest Haven Seventh-day Adventist Church

During my time as an AV Guy at Rest Haven SDA Church, I had the privilege of working with an inspiring team who were such a blessing to me with their warmth and enthusiastic approach to glorifying God through collaboration, mutual “agape-style” respect, and openness to innovation. From the team leadership on down, everyone was dedicated to selfless service and lifting up the community.

This Spirit-led experience allowed me to grow as a technician and as a Christian, forging lasting friendships and gaining valuable lessons in faith, teamwork, and true agape love. Adam, Louise, Harley, and the team didn’t only talk the talk. They walked it, as Jesus did! Hallelujah!
